compact, powerful, and at a great price By retired extreme skiier from Intresection of Sierra Cascade mountains on 08/14/2008 Pros: Close Focus, Compact, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have lived in the mountains of north east California for 30 yr, snow/h2o skiing, hiking, back packing, hunting. These binoculars will be used for all of the above and more. Were I use them frequently is stopping in the in the car to watch wild life on the way to work. Small enough for a jacket pocket powerful enough for good distance viewing. I also bought a pair of 10x 50 Ralleys based off the coments of another shopper who happens to live in the Sierra's also. Both of these glasses are a great choice. These 10x 26 do not let in as much light in durring dawn and sunset hours. But that is the only comprmise I see between the two.
By Hutch from Colorado Springs on 08/14/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: although the optics are first rate, I returned the binoculars because they do not work well while wearing glasses.
great product great price By retired extreme skiier from Were Sierra and Cascade mountains join on 08/14/2008 Pros: Close Focus, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased these and the Safari 10x26 so I had a full size and a compact. I used the recomendation of a previous review. Both the products are quality. As both of these glasses are 10 power both have what appears to be almost equal vision, until it comes to low light situation. Then the 50 mm objective lens comes into play. The 10x50 durring sunrise hours, looks like someone turned the lights on. I was driving to work the other day at 5:30 AM and there were a group of mule deer with massive racks I had the 10x26 with me. The magnafication was there but the low light made details difficult to see. I would have been content except I knew I had the big boys 10x50 in my other car. The next day I had the 10x50 with me. It was dark enough that I needed head lights on to drive when I spotted the bucks. I stopped and pulled up the 10x50. The detail was amazing. What I thought were 4 points were 6 points and thats on one side for you eastern guys. Glancing away from the glasses I thought Wow! It's still dark but through the glasses it appeared as though the field was in full sun light. I try to keep a pair in each vehicle but I wish I had both pair for both vehicles. Yes I would buy them again.

Completely fulfilled my expectations By Okiebug from Tulsa, Oklahoma on 08/03/2008 Pros: Close Focus, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction, Works Well With Glasses Best Uses: Animal watching generally, Bird Watching, Viewing distant vistas Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My wife and I wanted a second pair of binoculars to take on a recent trip to Alaska, so I bought these. The size and optical power were perfect for our purpose. However, although I would not call these binoculars bulky, I would not recommend them to anyone who expects or intends to carry them in a pocket or purse. These binoculars were, for us, an outstanding value.
