By Ken from New York, NY on 10/11/2008 Pros: Adjustable Watchband, Good Quality, Plain watch Cons: Smaller face than many Describe Yourself: Athletic, Classic, Modern, Practical Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The watch struck me as looking like a Japanese made watch I had purchased. Maybe I was looking for something more akin to Breitling or Ebel, which are other Swiss watch makers. I also ordered a Haurex, and was much more pleased with the looks although I guess this watch will last longer, I don't know. Also you need to keep wearing, or it will run out of juice and not be wound up.
Fashionable and understated By Watch me from Colorado on 09/10/2008 Pros: Adjustable Watchband, Classic Style, Good Quality, Nice watch band, Reliable, Stylish Best Uses: Everyday, Formal, Travel Describe Yourself: Athletic, Classic, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This watch has been great. It can be worn for many different occasions. The leather band is very good quality and because it isn't a link band, it doesn't pinch. The crystal backing is a high end touch. The watch is not the latest model so I paid SO much less which is fine by me. Yet I still get the amazing quality as it is hand built in Switzerland by Gevril.
By RT from woodinville, WA on 09/07/2008 Pros: Good Quality, Reliable, Stylish Cons: Largeuncomfortable band Describe Yourself: Athletic, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wanted an automatic WITHOUT lots of knobs and buttons, love this watch. swiss, well made, cool style, uncommon. comes in a great wooden box, a bit of a larger case but i prefer this, relatively simple face with date and day of the week. you can choose the day of the week in either english or spanish- also very cool, would have rated it a 5star except the band is for a giant wristed european, [...]the band/clasp it came with actually hurt my wrist and rendered the watch floppy on its last setting, easily rectified with an almost exact style/color band with a different clasp found on-line for about [$]- now its a 5 star
By Herbie from San Diego on 08/06/2008 Pros: Adjustable Watchband, Good Quality, Movement visible in case, Stylish Cons: Orange band limits use Best Uses: Casual chic, Everyday Describe Yourself: Curmudgeon Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This watch uses the ETA 2836-2 calibre movement. ETA controls half of the calibre market. My understanding is that Gevril was launched in 1995.
Something unsaid in the catalog is this watch comes packed in a really nice wood jewerly box.

By scooter from midwest on 05/22/2008 Pros: Adjustable Watchband, Good Quality, Reliable, Stylish Describe Yourself: Athletic, Practical, Stylish Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a beautiful timepiece. Ive had the watch for a year and get compliments all the time. Only con is that if you take it off for the weekend it will stop at about 30 hours so you might want an automatic winder.
