Solid jacket for the price By Wags from Chicago, IL on 08/16/2008 Best Uses: Extreme Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Being that I make somewhat of a hobby of shopping for ski gear-- pathetic I know-- I can give an educated opinion that this jacket is about the best value going for a Gore-Tex shell. It has a powder skirt, pit zips, sealed zippers and features that are usually found on more expensive jackets. Mine is actually brown which they don't have anymore. I like the brown color because it's not so "ski-jacket-ish" for casual wear. The blue looks tempting among the current crop of colors, but I'm sure my wife would make fun of me for owning two of the same jacket in different colors, so I'll resist!
By Jaybee from New Zealand on 08/12/2008 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Need more waist adjst Best Uses: Casual Wear, Downhill Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Comfy and ventilates well. Would appreciate more waist adjustment (tighter) but belt loops useful
Slightly Upscale Basic Fleece Jacket By MontanaCody from Seattle, WA on 08/09/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Good Cut, Versatile Cons: Lycra Sleeve Binding Best Uses: Bad Weather, Daily Use, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual, Eclectic, Fashion-Comfort Oriented, Outdoorsy Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a basic fleece jacket with the added feature of an outer chest pocket, which is often not present at this price point. I find a chest pocket to be far superior to hand pockets for storing cellphones and MP3 players, so to me this is a must-have feature. The mid-weight (200) fleece is soft and seems to breathe OK, although I'm not sure it will match the breathability of Polartec 200, which it does not appear to be. I would also prefer a self-fabric sleeve hem, but all in all this is a very nice American-made item that is a great value when you can get it via a STP discount offer.
By Cuban Skiier from Sheridan, WY on 08/07/2008 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cross Country Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love the feel of these pants, but they run small to size. I normally need a Medium and tried a large but there was not room for additional layering so I got the XL and I love them!
Nice looking jacket, but runs small By Kayak Queen from Sheridan WY on 07/28/2008 Pros: Good Weight, Stylish Describe Yourself: Weekend Warrior Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I will wear this jacket to cross country ski and snow shoe, but since it is slightly smaller than most medium sized, I hope it won't be restricting. It's not so small that I needed to send it back ~ I'm sure a size large would be too big.
By Kona from Tucson, AZ on 07/28/2008 Describe Yourself: Getting Started Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Granted I haven't worn these on the slopes yet, they are well made and comfortable. Only thing is they are tight in the thigh area, or is it possible my thighs need to hit the slopes and slim down?
Too small. This is medium marked XL By casual from Australia on 07/22/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm Cons: Too small, Too Small for XL Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Product is too small I bought 3 for people and myself. Each are too small across the chest. This size XL should have been called medium/large definitely not true to size. everything else is lovely. Sorry I can not wear it.
By Stacy from San Diego on 07/18/2008 Cons: Metal zipper at chin, Wide at waist Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This jacket has a nice feel to it, but is a bit snug in the chest (I bought a medium and I'm only a 34B), which would have been OK since I wanted the fleece form-fitting to fit underneath a shell...but, the waist totally flares out - its very loose there. I'm afraid it will be too breezy when worn alone. And a metal zipper at the chin? brrrr I'm returning the jacket.
