Not enough room in the upper calf By D from Eugene, OR on 10/05/2008 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Office Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Functional Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'll start off by saying I have a really hard time finding boots that fit well. I have a high arch, so pull-on boots don't work, but the side zip took care of that problem. There was a little more room in the ankle area than I would have liked. The real problem for me was that the upper calf was too narrow. I have an athletic build, and I guess my calfs are bigger than average for my shoe size 6 - 6.5.
Perfect - Highly recommend these boots By Happy feet in soggy land from Marysville, Wa on 10/04/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Fit like a glove, Good Traction, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I put on these boots for the first time and wore them for the entire day. They are extremely comfortable. They make no noise while walking down quiet school halls - even when wet from the rain. The upper portion is very soft and pliable there is no breaking in period. I hope these boots last a long time, they are now my new favorites.
By Lucy from CA on 09/12/2008 Describe Yourself: High-end shopper, Stylish Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered green and bordo pairs and I sent them back. Green boots have plasticlike lining ( unbelievable for a such pricy shoe!).They are also heavy and uncomfortable. And finally both pairs are only good for skinny ankle. If your ankle bigger than 10 inch or you like to wear thick socks - forget about these shoes. I am totally disappointed with Le Canadiene brend and will stay with Chinese made products- better quality.
By Jemrtt from Brooklyn, NY on 09/07/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Good Traction, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Difficult Entry & Exit Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I like the look of these boots. I needed a great pair of waterproof boots. I bought 2 pairs in the black(27) in a size 8.5. The pull-on feature is not easy for me, but I get it eventually. Also these boots tend to bunch near the ankle. So I fixed that by wrapping a thick sock around my ankle, then secured it by putting on a another sock (the usual way), then I pulled the boot on. No more bunching! These boots will not fit over my jeans. So the realy cute pattern won't be seen. They feel very warm, and feel great to walk in.
By DeeDee from Queens, New York on 08/29/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Comfortable, high quality boots that fit true to size (with Polartec socks on). "Alternating patterns" look better in person. Love the wedge heel--low enough to feel secure, but high enough to keep pressure off a torn tendon on the side of my foot (Probably good for plantar fasciitis too). Overall a great boot!
Just what I was looking for By Emily from Alaska from rural Alaska on 08/12/2008 Pros: Cute, Easy To Clean, Waterproof Cons: No room for warm socks, Unsure about comfort yet Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Office Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Conservative Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are exactly what I was looking for! These boots look great with jeans or slacks, so you can dress them up or down as necessary. They are waterproof. I would probably prefer to have a half size larger so that I could add more comfortable insoles and a thicker pair of socks. I can only wear medium-weight socks in them, so my feet won't stay warm in these boots this winter. But for wearing at the office, they'll be fine. And they look adorable!
