Hopefully this review won't be removed By Betsy from Boston, MA on 11/02/2009 Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Giro recommends replacing their helmets every 3 years due to both wear and tear and polystyrene foam degradation. The helmet I received was manufactured in February 2005. Upon confirming with Giro that this helmet would not optimally protect my head in the event of a crash, I sent it back: I cycle daily in the city of Boston and need to have the best safety equipment available. I do not recommend buying this helmet due to the age of the one I received.
My first review stating these facts was removed by STP.
By none from southwest on 11/01/2009 Pros: Convenient back-of-head adjustment, Durable, Fabulous ventillation, Lightweight, Nice fit system/pads Best Uses: Everyday riding, Road cycling, Warm Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've had 3 Giro helmets and this was a Goldilocks "ahh, just right!" moment. The E2 is by far is the best fitting, nicest looking and the ventilation, for a desert dweller, is a must.
By Tele-girl from Fruita, CO on 10/30/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easily Adjustable, Lightweight, Protective, Stylish, Well Ventilated Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My husband bought this helmet for my birthday. It's fabulous!! I haven't been able to test it out on the slopes, due to the lack of snow, but that will change very soon. I love the fact that it's lighter and more comfortable than my mountain biking helmet - which is also a Giro and pretty lightweight and comfy itself. The closable air vents are great for spring skiing, and the ability to dial in the fit is awesome. I believe that I will feel very well-protected and comfortable in this helmet.
