poor design or poor quality control
By engineer from Honolulu, HI on 7/2/2008
Pros:
Comfortable, Easy Set Up
Best Uses:
Campgrounds, Car Camping
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments: We bought one of these, and one of the large size ones for car camping. This one is just a scaled up version of the large one. Same materials, etc. However, it doesn't seem to have made the transition to the oversize version very well. This one sags. So much so that it was absolutely no problem for my 1st grade daughter to assemble the last crossbar. There was no tension provided by installing the crossbar and the sleeping surface sagged as a result. Still, it was pretty comfortable. But based on other reviews, the material will stretch and therefore sag more as it gets used. [...](it's a pliable rubber like material) so I just returned it and ordered another large version instead.[...]

Comments: Long enough and wide enough for my 6'2" husband. Perfect when you pair it with the 4" self-inflating pad! Can turn over without banging elbows and knees on the frame! The carrying case that comes with it is great and convenient. High enough off the ground so I don't feel like I am crawling up off of it...I'm not a spring chicken anymore! :-)

Comments: Set the cot up when it arrived, promptly stretched out on it and took a nap. Very quick and easy set-up and take down. Last week my wife had a bad cold and was coughing/hacking all night. I set the cot up in the living room, got out my sleeping bag and had a restful night of sleep. This cot is going to elk camp with me in Oct. [...]

Comments: Our house has turned into teenager heaven and we can count on extra boy creatures sleeping over most weekends. I wanted a bed that was easy to put up and take down and would be big enough for boys who are 6'3" and up. This fits the bill.
