Too short for most commercial bottles. By Asphalt from San Antonio, TX on 05/29/2008 Pros: Durable, Retains temperature well Cons: .5L bottle is tight fit Best Uses: Backcountry Camping, Campgrounds, Day Trips, Good insulation, River Trips, Survival Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Standard commercial 0.5L water bottle JUST barely fits. Puts lots of stress on zipper. Material and stitching appear durable. Nice velcro "strap" adjusts for different uses, i.e. belt or pack attachment. Will be testing insulation quality in this summer's extreme heat! Plan to carry cold water while motorcycling through the Texas Hill Country.
By Hiker Dan from South Amboy, NJ on 05/23/2008 Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The Water Bottle Parka is way too small to fit most Half Liter Water Bottles. It was a waste of my money. I don't know if it even work, I haven't been able to use it!!
By Tennis Bum from Southport, NC on 05/16/2008 Pros: Durable, Well insulated Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The 1/2 L size is too small for almost all uses. I have to leave the lid off when I insert a decent sized water bottle.
Think if it as rain gear for...anything! By kurtis from Tampa, FL on 04/20/2008 Pros: Durable, Good Capacity, Good grip Best Uses: Backcountry Camping, Campgrounds, Day Trips, River Trips, Survival Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This item is essentially a rain-proof, padded cylinder measuring about 3 X 7" inside. You can keep .5L water bottles inside and they are insulated for temperature. Or you can keep cameras, phones, GPS's, or anything you want to keep protected and dry. The attachment is very versatile and secure. I like it better than the more costly 'Padded Cell'.
