A little too heavy for comfort By 25 year-old from St. Paul, Minnesota on 06/16/2008 Pros: AA batteries easy to use, Bright, Long battery life, Stable Best Uses: Power outage at home Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I thought the lighting provided by the head lamp itself was great. I also liked the fact that AA batteries, which are easy to come by, was its power source. What I really didn't like was its weight and bulk. I started getting a headache shortly after donning the lamp, and can't see myself wanting to use it for much more than maneuvering around a dark house or a quick trip to the restroom while camping. For people who plan on wearing a headlamp for extended periods of time this is not the headlamp I would suggest.
By Bubbles from San Francisco, CA on 06/13/2008 Pros: Adjustable Beam, Bright, Durable, Stable Best Uses: At home during a blackout, Backpacking, Car Camping, Close work Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I will be using this on a walking & camping safari in Tanzania, so I have not used it in the wild yet. However, I tried it out at home and was impressed with the brightness of the light, its ease of use, comfort, and perceived sturdiness. The idea of hands free lighting for me is a plus especially since I am not a camper/outdoorsy person and I am sure it will light up a tent just fine. I will likely leave the headlamp with my travelling companion since he is a guide in Tanzania and such things are very difficult to get. But, I may purchase another one to keep at home in the event of a blackout. Also, I feel I got good quality at a good price.

Small light w/lots of shine By Jim the Tech/Splicer from San Antonio on 05/08/2008 Pros: Bright, Long battery life, Stable Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use this head light for working in my bucket truck. I do system work at night. Brightest led light I've ever used. It could use a beam adjustment from spot to flood. Very good.
By David from Cincinatti from Cincinatti, OH on 03/25/2008 Pros: Adjustable Beam, Bright, Stable Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping, Day trip, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I had another cheeper version of this light and it just didn't cut it, like this one very much. You have 3 adjustments on the brightness of the light and a red light on the back if someone is behind you to follow.
My 1st brightest headlamp (long range) By Snookie from Tampa, Florida on 02/04/2008 Pros: Adjustable Beam, Bright, Durable Best Uses: Backpacking, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is the brightest headlamp I ever have. Its lowest light setting is much much brighter than most of the headlamps out there. I use it mostly for fishing in the dark. Too early to comment on the quality though.
By Stew from Marin, CA on 12/16/2007 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Beam is too narrow to be useful for my work conditions.
