By Hong from MA on 08/24/2008 Pros: Adjustable Beam, Bright, Durable, Long battery life, Stable Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend It has worked fine for me.
There are two issues that I have had:
1. Unlike my other headlamp, the battery pack is separated from the headlamp and connected to it via a wire. One needs to find a proper place for securying the battery pack. I clipped it to my belt but it fell quite a few times.
2. The bulbs are so close to rim that there is some light shone on my glasses creating soem glare effect. If you do not wear eye glasses, this should not be an issue

By T T from SLC, UT on 07/29/2008 Pros: Adjustable Beam, Bright Cons: Bulky, Too much to carry Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I really loved the idea of this product with the usb charger and crank power. Unfortunately I never used the headlamp because I knew that it was too much stuff for me. I felt like I would be carrying around two cell phones and when I tried it on I did not like the look of the cable that hangs from the head down to the belt.

By Pork from Meridian, ID on 07/14/2008 Pros: Adjustable Beam, Bright, Long battery life, Stable Best Uses: Anytime you need light, Backpacking, Car Camping, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this headlamp 2 weeks ago and have already used it on two 3day/2night trips. The beam is perfect: not too narrow, not too wide. The high and low settings are just right for me. At first I didn't like the cord that attaches the light to the power source, but then I just clipped the source to the back side of the head strap and that worked just fine. I have been using strictly the battery box and I haven't noticed any dimming yet after 5 nights of fairly heavy use.
