By Kenzie from Portland, OR on 07/28/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are great. I bought them for my husband and had to return the first pair for a half size larger. After we got the right size, he had me order a second pair before they sold out of that size. Nice durable shoe!!
"Naughty Trails to You"...sorry, Roy. By golfer3524 from San Bernardino, CA on 07/10/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I also purchased the Nasty model, and there are some dif's. between the 2. I have skinny feet so it fits me very well. But I do use a sturdier insert in all my shoes. This model seems much more torsionally flexible in the mid foot, which is fine by me for a GP shoe. I'd chose the other for trail use though. The heel surround really holds firmly without having to use lace force to get the results. And the toe box, like the other, seems made for me..plenty of wiggle room, and comfortably snug across the instep. Fantastic buy at S.T.P. to boot. Get 'em quick if you can because they're 'close outs'!
By C Note from Steamboat, CO on 06/26/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, Stable Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I just bought this shoe about a week ago and have been breaking it in. So far I love it. Although, a lot of people complained about it being too narrow, I've had no issues and it slips on easily and is very comfortable. The brown suede makes a good looking hiking shoe, which was the main reason I bought it--good for both trail use and just wearing around. Overall I am very happy with this shoe and am considering getting a 2nd pair since they don't make this model anymore. I look forward to testing it out on the trail.

By Johnny the "naughty" Carpenter from Abingdon, VA on 06/11/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable Best Uses: Construction Framing, Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased this shoe because I was looking for a shoe that would hold up to the demanding conditions of the jobsite, yet be comfortable to wear day in day out. It has great traction for climbing and running. The assymetrical laces allow for greater foot movement. This is also the first shoe I have ever had that fit my feet like a glove right out of the box. i have not hit the trail in them yet, however I'm sure they will perform incredibly.
By The Bike Mechanic from Milwaukee Wisconsin on 06/03/2008 Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These felt a little narrow at first but then after I had worn them for a few days, I got the lace tension right and maybe they broke in a little as well, but now they are quite comfy. I'm on my feet all day and these keep getting better each day.

Trail shoes that look good By Scouter from Raleigh, NC on 05/30/2008 Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these to replace an old, well-worn pair of Garmont approach shoes. I haven't had these new ones long, but they look and feel good. If they last as long as the previous pair, I will be very happy. I feel I got a really good value for the price. The only negative I can think of is the soles aren't Vibram.
Not as wide in the toe box as it looks By Outside Man from Big Sky Country on 05/04/2008 Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Looks like a durable shoe for hiking with light loads, where ankle support form a boot is not needed, just not wide enough for my feet.
