By La Jolla shopper from ca on 08/24/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Good Padding, Versatile Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are terrific shoes - really well engineered and constructed. Unfortunately, I only discovered that I am a neutral- to under-pronator after I ordered them. I'll have to send the shoes back as they aren't designed for my feet. I almost wish I were an over-pronator just so I could benefit from these shoes :-)

Comfortable shoe for gym and outdoors . By Voot Cruiser from Anacoco, LA on 08/11/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Good Padding Best Uses: Endurance Training, Pavement Describe Yourself: Gym Rat Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I needed a good cardio shoe for the gym and long endurance walking. This shoe has excellent arch support which I appreciate since I have a high arch. Normally, I wear a size 9 in a street shoe, and order sports shoes 1/2 size up (9 1/2), to allow for thicker socks. I had to order this shoe in a size 10, so I would say to everyone that you may want to consider going up at least a 1/2 size. The shoe allows for wiggle room through the toe area, but gives good support around the rest of the foot. I seem to be having trouble with the outer side of my right foot (not related to the shoe) and need a shoe that gives a little more in this area. This shoe fits the bill for me. The color scheme is not too bad either, but I like all kinds of crazy color combinations for a sport shoe. So far I have had no problems with this shoe. I wore it straight from the box and its like walking on marshmallows, can't complain about that! I give this shoe a thumbs up, but that is based upon how it fits on my foot and what I want to use it for. Hope everyone else has good luck with this shoe like I did!
By In Pain from Mount Vernon, IA on 08/06/2008 Best Uses: Endurance Training Describe Yourself: Gym Rat Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Brooks running shoes usually have a comfortably wide toe box, but this style is a bit narrow in the toe and most definitely is "low" in that it pushes down on the big toe considerably. This is the first Brooks shoe that has not felt comfortable to me in 30 years of running! I can't run in it at all, as it causes blisters and pain with every step.

In middle age, when my joints need a little extra cushioning, this shoe fits perfectly and performs beautifully. Fast walks on hard pavement are back in my routine.
