I typically buy a pair ahead so that when my current pair wears out, I have another waiting. They tend to run a bit small, so I buy a half-size up.

Sadly, I wasn't able to wear these shoes, though I'd had high hopes for them. I have leg & back problems & walking shoes for daily wear help alleviate a minimal amount of the pain. I have a high arch. The shoe arch fell into the entirely wrong place, literally too far back. The shoe was tremendously uncomfortable for me. I'll have to rely on my very old Reeboks until I can find replacements.

Since I wear a narow, I have very few brand choices in athletic shoes and have always purchased New Balance. This is my first pair of Saucony and they're very comfortable. Sierra Trading Post recommended ordering a half size larger than my usual size and that is good advice.
