Allen quality at low price By i4hunting from Magnolia,WV on 07/10/2008 Pros: Durable, Improves Performance, Safe, Works Well Cons: Narrow, No shoulder padding Best Uses: Big Game Hunting, Light Rifle Only Describe Yourself: Experienced Hunter Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Been hunting, shooting since 1980.Bought this for a Ruger 10/22 Target Model. If placed on a heavier rifle there's no padding, and the sling is narrow. The sling itself for what I bought it to place on is perfect.Well made by Bob Allen.
By Riff from Toledo OH on 07/09/2008 Best Uses: Cold Climate, Small game hunting, Warm Climate Describe Yourself: Experienced Hunter Bottom Line: Comments: Good "B" rifle sling. - Not for your classic Winchester. Looks Great from a distance but upon picking up you immediately know it is nylon on the front. But with leather on the back to prohibit slippage its flexible, strong and looks fine. I bought one for my son's used rifle and after it arrived bought a second for my squirrel rifle.
Another great Allen Product, nice sling By Dave from Cleveland Ohio on 06/18/2008 Best Uses: Both rifles and shootguns Describe Yourself: Experienced Hunter Bottom Line: Comments: Helps distribute the weight of a rifle or shotgun well, making them easier to carry on your shoulder. Allen always makes great products. A good buy!
good price for the product By sugbee from Albuquerque NM on 06/01/2008 Best Uses: Big Game Hunting Describe Yourself: Experienced Hunter Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: just what i was looking for
By dealdawg from SC on 04/25/2008 Best Uses: Big Game Hunting Describe Yourself: Experienced Hunter Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I usually take my limit of ten deer here in SC, so I am afield much of the fall. I needed some quality slings for several new rifles. While these slings are not as heavy duty as I would have liked, and the pattern is Mandarin Chinese, not Southwestern, the price is right.
Good leather sling at a bargain price By Thunder from Chico, CA on 03/27/2008 Pros: Durable, Improves Performance, Looks Good, Safe, Works Well Cons: Doesn't come with swivels Best Uses: Big Game Hunting, Cowboy Action Shooting Describe Yourself: Recreational Hunter Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This product is attractive in quality and price. A subtle yet distinctive SouthWestern design, accents this durable leather sling. Quality appears to be very good in an economical and functional product. This sling would be most appropriate for the lighter weight weapon, like a carbine or short barreled musket. The hardware for strap length adjustment, requires a screwdriver to change length, thus the sling is best for carrying a weapon, not for a tactical shooting stance. You will need to supply mounting swivels, as these are not provided with the sling.
By nigel from north of sidnaw on 12/26/2007 Best Uses: Big Game Hunting Describe Yourself: Experienced Hunter Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Given as a gift. Will be used a few days per year. Should last several seasons.
Was very pleased with this sling By Paul from Lindale, TX on 12/10/2007 Best Uses: Big Game Hunting, Cold Climate, Warm Climate, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Experienced Hunter Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Was very pleased with this rifle sling especially for the money. Seams to be well made and able to stand up to all weather conditions. This is not a padded sling so for some hunting situations would not be desireable.
