Comments: This was a great comfortable shoe. It was true to size and I used it to hike through the rain forest. For the price it is a great boot.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'd love to say if you don't have a pair of hiking shoes this would be a great pair to start with. I wear this when I go to Half Dome on a 18 miles day hiking starting from Glacier Point trail. I was able to stand on the last cable part of Half Dome steady because of the shoes. No breakin needed. Usually I will have blisters on new shoes but surprisingly I don't have any problem this time.

Comments: I bought these for a friend who's joining my hiking gang; I recommended this brand to her. She was worried about fit, comfort, value, and weight. She reports back that they're wonderful, and she's been finding excuses to "break them in" even though they never really needed it. Now she's sold on both the brand and Sierra TP.
