Comfortable, Nice tread design Good, Non-slip sole, Stable

Comments: I use the shoes as everyday, go-to-work shoes. I am not a runner. As an every day shoe these fit my needs to a T. The shoes run a touch narrow, but are still comfortable.

Good grip, but runs narrow
By EL occasional walker from MA on 6/3/2008
Sizing:
Feels half size too small
Pros:
Great Traction, Non-slip sole
Cons:
Not Water Resistant
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Comments: The grip from the soles is among the best I have seen from running shoes. The lacing is simple, using fabric in place of eyelets to get a snug fit. Although the pair I bought was medium, it is narrower than normal and i had to return it as it caused soreness in my feet.
I would buy this brand again and again

Buy for hiking,not running

Pros:
Good foot protection, Stable
Cons:
Heavy, Sole Wears Out Quickly, Stiff
Describe Yourself:
Hikerbackpacker, Trail runner
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments: I had bought these for trail running, but found them to be far too stiff and heavy to do much running in.They do protect the foot fairly well, and should make decent light hiking shoes.A month of hard running in these did cause the outersole on one shoe to start to wear through.I ended up returning mine for that reason, and replaced them with a pair by La Sportiva.
A good trail shoe Worth the Gamble

Comments: [...] The shoe seemed a little tight out the box, so I eased the lacing system a little and managed to get a snug fit. First outing was for some casual walks and a couple of short treadmill sessions, no major problems with rubbing or soreness, so far so good ( phew! ). Next was an 8.5mile off-road run with plenty of rocky paths, grass slopes and dirt single track. The shoes performed well and I felt very stable considering this shoe is much higher & chunky than most UK low profile fell/trail shoes. I would recommend these shoes for every day off-road training etc, although these may be a little too heavy/high profile for some of you real super light racing snakes and I suspect during winter/wet months the grip may stuggle on some of the steeper wet grassy slopes and muddy trails, however I've only tested in dry conditions thus far so can't be certain !. I like em just fine for trail running & gym work and I would purchase them again ! I'm quite a big wide UK 9 ( nearly UK 9.5 ) so I purchased US 9.5m which was a very snug for me ( lucky the shoes have a good space in the toe box ) I would possibly try a US 10 next time especially if I needed to allow space accomodate insoles/orthotics etc, but this current pair feel fine now after 30-40miles of mainly off-road usage. Overall the fit was good, they have performed well on trails and I like the snug fit, stable ride and durable look of these shoes.
