No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I didn't like the waist band. Very little elastic and not designed for the drawstring to tighten enough for diving and surfing---at least for my physique.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I ate too much in '07, so my regular board shorts were a little tight. Needed a pair of shorts for a family trip to the ocean - bought these and another pair from a retailer. The retailer shorts were too big (fell off twice while body surfing). These shorts fit loose, but never fell off. Perfect for what I wanted them to do. Not the most stylish shorts in the world, but not horrible. I fit in with the other slightly overweight dad's chasing kids around on the beach.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The shorts feel great and made of a soft material. However, immediately one eye ring for the laces fell off and another one is cracking. Poor construction.
