Comments: This roman shade is installed on an all-glass front door. It does its job of providing privacy and looks nice. It is not sheer enough to see out of during the day. The self-locking mechanism is a nice touch, as not all roman shades come this way. The only way it could be nicer is if it also had a sheer inner shade. Then we could raise the outer, privacy shade during the day, and still have some privacy during the day but be able to look out, then lower the outer shade at night when we need more privacy. It is only designed to be spot-cleaned. If you're handy and willing to take a chance, I think it wouldn't take much work to make it hand-washable in the sink or tub. The shade is attached to the header with hook-and-loop tape, and the cords are only attached with two knots at the bottom of the shade.
great purchase - better than expected

Comments: brackets do not hold shade in place securely--shade kept falling down when I tried to lower/raise it. Fabric is very nice though. They are very attractive shades except for the fact that I can not lower or raise them without them falling down!
