No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Got these to try to replace Merrell Chameleon II travelers - a great travel/hiking shoe. The element seemed not rugged or durable enough for my uses/needs, but was also not stylish enough to use for street/casual wear. I ended up returning the shoe before using them outside of the house.
