good product for the price By Brown Eyed Girl from Dalton, GA on 08/14/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Non Slip Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The pad takes about 4 minutes to completely inflate, and I had to knead it to work the air into all the pockets, but it's worth the wait. It isn't heavy but is bulkier than some other pads I've seen.
Pretty good bang for the buck! By Matt the Californian from Alameda, CA on 08/14/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable Design, Easy To Inflate, Good value, No sliding in the tent Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping, Extended Trips, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this pad and have used it now on a few outings. This is the first of its kind that I've used much; I've had a Thermarest RidgeRest pad for a long time with great success. But as one gets older, you need a little more cushin! And so far, this new one has proven to be a nice pad.Therma is usually recognized as the industry standard in this field of pad types, but I see no significant difference between this one from Alps....well, except for the fact that Therma makes you buy the stuff sack extra, whereas Alps does not. Many of the other reviews knock the bulk....but what do you expect from a 'value' pad line like this? Therma has the same issues. But if you compare this line to the Therma TrailLite series, you won't notice all that much difference. Same packing size (in the 20x72x1.5 pad), and only about 6 or 7 oz heavier (when you factor in the stuff sack). Not a lot of difference. It still doesn't quite offer the kind of comfort I need, though the problem is not the pad. I just need more. Fortunately, my wife really likes it...and I'm going to just have to pony up and buy a 3 1/2 inch Exped pad for 100-bucks.
Great product, better price! By Jules from Tennessee on 08/03/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Compact Roll Up, Easy To Inflate, Lightweight Best Uses: Extended Trips, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Used the air pad for 2 weeks while hiking and camping in the Cascades. Provided enough comfort to get me through my 2 weeks in the wilderness with no complaints. I think I slept better than others who paid 3 or 4 times more for their pad. Very easy to transport and pack.
By Outdoor Girl from Tennessee on 07/30/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable Design, Easy To Inflate Best Uses: Car Camping, Extended Trips, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This air pad was very comfortable. Much more so than the yoga pad I was using previously. It inflates quickly and easily. It seems pretty durable. The only problem I had was getting the air out of it so it could be rolled and packed in it's stuff sack. The air does not come out as easily as it went in. It adds several minutes when trying to break camp. It is also a little big for backpacking. Perfect for car camping though.

Only drawback is that it is kind of long when rolled up.
By physicsfranz from Ohio on 07/18/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Compact Roll Up, Durable Design, Easy To Inflate, Non Slip Best Uses: Backpacking, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have the Pine Ridge long/wide pad and I love it. It is very comfortable and durable. Problem is it is too heavy. After a 3 day hike on the AT I am trying to cut down on some weight. So I bought this regular size pad. It's a little thinner but I think the savings in weight will be worth it. I have only tried the smaller one at home. I am 6'2". My feet hang off the bottom if I lie flat on my back but that's ok with me. On my back my elbows are over the edge on the sides. This is a bigger issue for me. All in all I am very happy with the pine ridge pads for the price.
By JT from Reading, PA on 07/16/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Compact Roll Up, Durable Design, Easy To Inflate, Lightweight, Non Slip Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Prompted to give review after only having it for 2 weeks.Used it twice in backyard overnight with son. I am new to sleeping pads but was surprised by the comfort. Rolled up well into the stuff sack that came with it. Might be a bit bulky for the backpacking minimalist. The price was the BEST around

A good overall value.
By JenMB from Fort Collins, CO on 07/15/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Inflate, Non Slip Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These pads are great. My husband and I have never slept this well in a tent. We used them on an overnight backpack with no problem on weight, longer trips might be too heavy. Time to throw out the old foam pads!
By IronMIke from Cooperstown, NY on 07/12/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Inflate, Non Slip Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Not as compact as I would have liked, not as light as my Z-fold. Not as comfortable as some other heavier pads I have. It is a compromise of weight, comfort and compactness, so it doesn't score high on any one but does better than most on all three.
