Comments: Good all around support. Not a heavy duty shoe as you would think. No speed laces at the top which is a bummer. Almost too low cut in the back, which is not seen in the pictures. Nice looking and clean lines, could wear out if necessary.
nice for a light trail shoe, but I slipp

Comments: I have just worn these boots twice. They feel a little tight across the ball of my foot, but off-trail the ball of my foot rotates around a bit. The ball of my foot also seem to be riding off the outside of the right boot, I may need a wider base. Fine for trail hiking. I am excited about gortex but haven't tested them in water. I wonder about durability of the lacing. Also my heel slides, creating a hot spot after 3 or 4 miles.

Comments: Nice boots, but found out the size 45 (11 to 11.5) were too big, loose feeling to my feet, so I exchanged for the 44 Euro Size and they fit perfectly....the felt very comfortable without the sliding feet feeling! The shoe man claimed I am size 11, but I find that 10.55, 44 Euro size was best.
Excellent boot, extremely comfy, all day

Comments: Very comfortable as I would expect from Ecco. Good for day hikes or daily wear. Sole is flexible like a running shoe and isn't really suited for backpacking or long hikes over rough terrain.

Comments: I like Ecco shoes - they fit my feet and my attitude, best of all brands. But this shoe is a bit lite-weight, maybe too comfortable/soft to really do much good on long hikes. My feet were more tired than I like. I learned: use Ecco shoes for what their market is really aimed toward: around town, dayhikes, the active person -- not the backpacker, or off-piste adventurer.
I've always been partial to Ecco's fit

Comments: Eccos, being European in design, have always fit my slightly narrow-width foot. I can order a pair of size 46 Eccos and they'll always fit. I really didn't want Gore-Tex, but beggars can't be choosers here. :) Gore-Tex is a waterproof but breathable inner lining. It doesn't breathe as well as a non-Gore-Tex shoe, so it feels a little warmer. The forefoot could use a little more cushioning, so I plan on getting some sport-type insoles. The padding of the uppers is not bulky, and the shoes feel pretty light, not clunky. The laces go through grommets only; there are no hooks that you have to lace up each time.
