So far, I heartily agree.
The best trail hiking shoe ever! By Hiking Across America from Wyoming on 10/23/2008 Pros: Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Dries Quickly, Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Everyday, Mixed Terrain, Muddy Conditions, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Primitive Trail Hiker, Wilderness Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The first hiking shoe I have found that fits my foot perfectly without getting blisters on my hikes. So far they have hiked through a snow storm keeping my feet completely dry and cozy warm. They have performed great in muddy/grassy areas as well as rocky terrain hikes. My feet feel very stable on any surface I have hiked thus far. Thanks Montrail!
Great hiking shoe for cold, muddy places By Alaskan Annie from Douglas, Alaska on 09/26/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold weather, Day hikes, Everyday, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These shoes do run about a half size too small; however, I ordered mine accordingly and I love their comfortable fit. I wear them on daily trail walks and never worry about my feet. I have even been wearing them to work with pants and they work great for me.
By 50ish and Fit from Stillwater MN on 08/25/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Narrow heel, Non-slip sole, Stable, Water Resistant, Wide Toe Bed Best Uses: Cold weather, Day hikes, Everyday, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I looked and looked. Ordered many shoes without luck, then finally hit up these hiking shoes. They are perfect for those of us that don't like squished toes and have narrow heels. They are not the prettiest, but they are great for walks, hiking and general use.
Nice looking, but fit funny By Dark Runner from Seattle, WA on 08/11/2008 Cons: size feels a bit cramped Best Uses: Day hikes, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Shoe is sized funny, even when ordering a half size larger, they were too small and tight. The arch was positioned too far forward, so they didn't fit. Also not enough toe room, a little too cramped. Beautiful looking shoe though, too bad I didn't get to try them out, they looked perfect, but they don't fit. I had to return them.
By KB from Leavenworth, WA on 08/05/2008 Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels full size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered a half size larger but it was still too small. I would have definitely needed a full size bigger. The shoe seemed very stiff and also not very nice to look at. Even if I would have had the correct size I don't think that it would give me the comfort and stability that I am looking for.
