Comments: I've tried several brands and Merrell always fits me the best. They never require a break-in period and blisters are almost nonexistent. These feel a little small compared to my Phasers but they still fit pretty well. The sole is tough enough though still easy to walk in and there is some lateral stability though not a lot. This is designed to be a good all-around mid boot. I haven't had them long enough to comment on durability or waterproofing but if they follow my other Merrells, they'll do fine. These are stouter than the Outlands and not as stout as the Phasers so once again, a fine midrange boot in my book

Comments: These shoes are super stable but not too heavy for light hiking. Not ready for extremely wet weather unless you treat the leather first, though. Great boot for the price.

Comments: Delightful boots that take a bit of wearing in. They are comfortable, particularly when it is cool to cold. The only drawback is they they seem to retain the heat during really hot days.
