By Tippytoes from Edmonton, AB on 01/15/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy to set up, Solid in wind and storms, Waterproof Best Uses: Backpacking, Mountaineering Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've used my Sanctum for over three years in every place from winter camping at Mount Washington to week-long excursions into the Canadian Rockies. Bottom line this tent is spacious, easy to set up and virtually indestructible. This beats other, more expensive 4-season tents hands-down.
Great Product for the Dollar By Don from Monroe,Ga on 11/17/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Easy to set up, Sturdy, Waterproof Cons: heavy for solo touring Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping, Hiking, Mountaineering Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have the sister tent to the Sanctum, The Bastille. This is a great mountaineering tent. I have had this tent in rain, snow and wind. The four season features make for year round use. I own two other Marmont tents I use for other trips.
Lots of great surprises inside and out! By Iron John from San Francisco CA on 10/04/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Easy to set up, Fly Works Well, Roomy, Sturdy Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Just a BIT too heavy and bulky for serious backpacking use - but would be fine on a short weekend trip.
LOVE the mesh gear pockets all around the inside! Lots of room for all those small items you don't want to roll around on in the middle of the night.
Reflective points on the fly make it easy to find your tent in the dark - a great feature!
Easy to set up and take down (after you figure it all out the first time) - a bit tougher to get back into the envelope-style storage bag, but not bad after practicing it a bit.
LOTS of ventillation - leave the fly off and you can do some serious star watching (without making yourself available to the mosquitos, etc.).
I love this tent!
