Decent, flexible shade/shelter By Namtinker from Canada on 07/03/2008 Pros: Easy to set up, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Easily modified to awning by adding two poles (see Deluxe version). Reasonably secure if ends are properly guyed.

The large that has legs would be a nice upgrade
By Who took my cane? and where are my keys? from Cody, WY on 04/06/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy to set up, Fly Works Well, Lightweight, Sturdy, Waterproof Cons: Not for windy conditions Best Uses: Car Camping, Could rig it for other Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am an old(68yrs) experienced(55yrs) alpinist/skier/paddler/cyclist. Kelty's carport is used at car only (trailhead, put-in, etc). Fine gear; for what it is. Fits Honda Element with a bit of "engineering" and Honda Odyssey perfectly. Heed factory warnings about windy conditions! Otherwise, it is great in light rain, as a sunshade and as a privacy screen.
By Wyoprince from Cheyenne, WY on 02/26/2008 Pros: Easy to set up, Lightweight, Sturdy Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have not used it camping yet, just set it up and can't wait to get out in the Wyoming wind and check it out
By Bob from Russell, Ohio on 09/11/2007 Pros: Compact, Lightweight Cons: Too small for an SUV Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is fine for what it is, but really doesn't suit my purposes as well as I hoped. I tried to buy the size large Carport, but they were out of stock, so I settled for this. It brely works on the side of an SUV or minivan, but would be fine on a Subaru Outback. I will keep it because we have both vehicles, but this trip to Utah we are hauling a lot of stuff to my son, and the minivan has to make the trip. We'll make it due.
