Comments:
Got this tent for backpacking. Was also hoping to use as a mid-level mountaineering tent (Mt. Rainier) but it is way too flimsy for that. Set it up at home and while complex on my flat lawn, it was impossible the 1st time on the trail in a rainstorm. I DID manage to get it set up without the inside getting soaked, but that was because of a merciful break in the rain. In a rush, it was difficult to get the fly attached properly and the fly ended up sagging onto the tent during the ensuing night of steady rain. That being said, I was dry and comfortable. I am a 5'3" tall woman --another review said it was cramped and while I could understand that for a larger man, the tent size was perfect for me. I am comparing it to a bivy, so it seemed spacious! I will not use this tent at any altitude however; couldn't imagine trying to set it up in the wind. The second night I managed to get it set up properly, but with two people helping! Ironic that it takes 3 people to set up a 1-person tent. I wouldn't use it again even for a backpack trip in the eastern US if rain could be in the forecast. It was super light-weight though -- even sopping wet. If you are a smallish person and BP only in perfect weather, this is your tent. Otherwise, I'd be cautious.

I have returned this item for a refund. It looks much bigger in the photos than it really is. It is well made and pretty light. That said it is very much like the msr zoid 1 tent in size and footprint but more$$ and more difficult to setup.
If you want a lightweight 1 person shelter i'd look at using a siltarp/bug net combo which is far roomier & lighter. This tent is not the answer.
