By Charles from White Sands, NM on 08/12/2008 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Compact, Durable, Easy To Use, Good Weight, Sharp Blade, Versatile Best Uses: Backcountry Camping, Campgrounds, Day Trips, River Trips, Road Trips, Survival Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great knife. It cannot really be designed for paratroopers, can it? It is large and extremely useful but, when you have all the equipment on this is not really a knife a paratrooper would want. I would really want a fixed blade that locks into a sheath that can be hung on your web belt or vest, (easy to access). Other then that, this is a great knife for out-doors stuff.
great knife...something different. By ken from Illinois on 08/07/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a little larger than most Vict.knives.The larger locking blade is a good feature. I have never seen a "locking" blade on a Vic. I ordered three knives; Two for gifts, they were a hit. We all thought they were good blades.
