I did get a hole at the flex point on the back of the ankle in my 1st pair, but only after a year of hard daily use. Would buy a 3rd pair.

No break-in required. I bought this as a work boot in a construction setting. Gore-tex feature is great in keeping my feet dry during rainy days. Light insulation doesn't overheat my feet even during hot days. Awesome boots. Awesome price. I'm glad I made a good choice.
