Astonishing price for a wonderful coat! By GreekMomNJ from Millburn, NJ on 03/14/2010 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Good Cut, Warm Best Uses: Bad Weather, Daily Use, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased this coat for my husband after he decided to replace his 7-year Burberry coat. This coat is a clear winner! Very warm, very stylish, very european-cut, and above all, true to size: he is rather big and tall and the size 52 he got is a perfect fit. Thank you for the great brands you carry, Sierra!

It would all have been great if not for the size. My husband wears Italian coats in size 50 which translates to US 40 (in truth, it's more like US 38). We bought this Steinbock coat in European 46 (US 36) and it was huge in a torso, about 2 sizes too large. That's not right.
A Fine Coat, but returning By Guy Without a Dress Coat from Saint Paul, MN on 02/17/2010 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm Cons: Not Enough Pockets, Odd accent Color Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was planning to use the Coat as a dress coat.Fairly light weight and seemed warm.I will be returning it because of the dark green accent color of the inside the fold over flap and underside of the collar are dark green. The flap hangs open when not buttoned or zipped all the way to the top, showing as the green color in the picture.I had call STP to see if the picture was correct, they said there was no green just a maroon liner - and there is a maroon liner - the person checking just didn't bother checking the flap.It is disappointing, as it is otherwise a nice coat.
By Traveler from Here and There on 01/18/2010 Pros: Attractive Design, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The catalogue said to order one size small. I did and had to send it back because it was very small. Ordered my regular size and it was still too small. Very disappointing, because this is a very nice coat, and I'm sure I would have enjoyed it if it had fit.

What more can you ask for?
By k from Chicago, IL on 01/01/2010 Pros: Attractive Design, Good Cut, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Daily Use, Going Out Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a very nice, versatile coat. I purchased it for my husband, as he did not have a warm dress coat for going out (just a leather coat). This fits the bill! It can be dressy or casual, is warm and made with beatiful material, and his normal size 42 will fit over a suit coat. A great value.
By Bellows from Baltimore, MD on 12/14/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Good Cut, Lightweight, Warm Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: You need to inspect the product before you ship it. I found debris on one side of the bottom of the coat which i had to clean off.
Just what I was looking for By John from New York, NY on 12/11/2009 Best Uses: Daily Use, Going Out Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is my second Steinbock coat. I bought my first one in Italy two years ago and paid a lot more. It feels great. The size is true and I wear it under a sport coat. The sleeves are the right length. I bought a Burberry coat from a department store which costs three times more than this coat. I had to return it since the sleeves were too long and would have been very costly to shorten it.
By Fishdoc from Kalamazoo, MI on 11/04/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Warm Best Uses: Daily Use, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I actaully do not currently own this coat, unfortunately. I reall liked the coat, though the first one i got was just a shade too small (52). So I got a size 54, [...]. However, the size 54 was tighter and smaller than the 52 (not just according to me, but my wife immediately noticed it as well). So, sizing can't be trusted at all, even within the same lot of coats. Given that, I'd recommend not trying to get this if you're at the upper end of the size range, as apparently this lot played a bit fast and loose with the sizing, which would be why they're here. Reading through some of the other posts in regards to the sizing issues, I think it's important to note that the sizes listed are U.S., and not Euro. I wear a U.S. 42, and ordered the listed size 42 accordingly. All in all, I'm more than happy with my purchase.
