They do sit high on waist with the larger band but they still fit great.
By squarestaterabroad from Chiangmai, Thailand on 10/28/2009 Pros: Allows Free Movement, Breathable, Comfortable, Dries Quickly, Durable, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought these for my daughter, who is a hardcore fitness buff, in both wine and purple/grey. She loves them--the hidden key pocket a bonus she doesn't always find on running shorts.

The "Almost Perfect" Pair of Shorts By Hipless Hippie from Los Angeles, CA on 10/16/2009 Pros: 5" inseam, Allows Free Movement, Breathable, Comfortable, Dries Quickly, Durable, Fabulous color selection, Lightweight Cons: No side pockets, Wishing 4 quick-dry liner Best Uses: Casual Wear, Competition, Gym, Running, Team Sports, Warm Weather Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Love love love these shorts! They are soft, lightweight, have a liner, and the 5" inseam are the perfect length for an almost-50 y/o runner like me.
These shorts are a little loose-fitting, just the way I like them (maybe that's because I ordered the size medium?) I wore them to the gym for a serious treadmill workout and they didn't show any discoloration from dampness -- the shorts were still dry. Must be the fab microfiber fabric...
I do wish the liner was made from a more quickly drying fabric and I do wish these shorts had side pockets for lightweight stuff like goo, etc. but...I'm off to order a couple more pairs in different colors anyways. Enjoy! (I know you will!)
By md from state college, pa on 09/27/2009 Pros: Allows Free Movement, Comfortable, Dries Quickly, Lightweight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Competition, Gym, Running, Warm Weather Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have bigger, muscular thighs and I'm short. My biggest problem with other running shorts I have tried is they creep up in the inner thigh when I run. These shorts don't do this! I like the liner and find it very comfortable. I bought 2 more pair after I ran in these a couple of times because they were so great.
By Travelin' Mom from San Jose, CA on 08/11/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Dries Quickly, Lightweight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Gym, Running, Warm Weather Describe Yourself: Conditioning Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These shorts are light & move easily while running, no chafing. Movement is a bit restricted for stretching, but not a big issue. The key pocket is quite small - it would be nice to have a slightly larger pocket accessible to hold a gel or sports beans for longer distances.

By Michele from Florida on 07/29/2009 Pros: Allows Free Movement, Comfortable, Dries Quickly, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Occasional Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love to wear these shorts in the hot weather. They don't ride up and the length is much better than the really short walking shorts.
