casual style + soft fabric = a winner By Bill from Boston from Boston, MA on 04/14/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Soft Best Uses: Casual Wear, Dinner with Friends, Weekends Describe Yourself: Classic, High-end shopper, Stylish, Thrifty Chest Size: Feels too small Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I had been eying this jacket for months, as I wanted something for when a wool sport coat would be dressier than the occasion required. I wear a 44L in all my jackets (including an Arnold Brandt cashmere), but in 44L, this coat felt a full size smaller. I exchanged it for the 46L and that worked well.
This is definitely not your typical corduroy coat, as they are usually quite stiff. The cashmere really does give this one a lovely drape, and it looks as good with jeans as with dress pants. Another winner from AB.
Comfortable elegance indeed. By JMB from Russellville, AR on 03/25/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Formal Occasions, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic, Comfort-oriented, Stylish Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I really like this coat. It's comfortable, stylish, and moderately dressy for corduroy. The deep brown color and narrow wale were both quite attractive, while the cashmere allowed the coat to flow lightly rather than being stiff like corduroy tends to be.
I'm sending mine back because a 38R was just too long for me, but I'd buy one in a second if a 38S were available.
