A great book right out of the box! By No Trail Too Tough from Nazareth, PA on 08/07/2008 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Flexible, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day Hiking, Harsh Terrain, Light Loads, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer, Professional/Guide Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This boot fit right out of the box and required no breaking in. It works great for long day hikes and for light backpacking. I have not tried wearing this boot with a heavy load since I use another pair of heavier Asolo boots for that. I would strongly recommend this boot to be considered by anyone looking for a great boot however I also state that you should buy what works best for you. For me, Asolo boots have worked best for several years.

Favorite hiking boot of all time! By run&gun from E'ville IN on 07/27/2008 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant Cons: Too Stiff/Not Flexible Best Uses: Cold Weather, Day Hiking, Everyday, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Light Loads, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Just a great all round boot and really fits my feet well. Asolo makes great products and Sierra offer such good deals I just couldn't pass on getting a 2nd pair. This boot is good for 12 month a year conditions. Waterproof and breathable. Only downfall is that they are too rigid to run in them comfortabley very far! But that's not what they were designed for anyway. Great boot!
By Weekender from Issaquah, WA on 07/24/2008 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Flexible, Great Traction, Just Looks Good, Light weight, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day Hiking, Harsh Terrain, Light Loads, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Got the boots. Loved the looks & the features. With no break-in time I set off on a 15 mile day hike. The trail was wet, my feet stayed dry and comfortable.
They do run a little narrow compared to my Merrells, but more of firm fit than being tight. These are definitely my new favorites.
By AG from Connecticut on 07/24/2008 Pros: Ankle Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Flexible, Great Traction, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day Hiking, Light Loads, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I just spent two days hiking in the Presidential Range in New Hampshire in the rain. These boots were amazing. While my daughter was slipping around in her Merrell boots, I had no slips and no difficulty walking on uneven granite with water flowing down its face. By the end of the second day, the only part of me that was still dry was my feet. These boots are extremely comfortable. Feet locked in so I don't bang my toes when going downhill. Sole is firm enough to support well on the uphill, and to protect the bottom of the foot from sharp rocks, while still flexible enough to feel broken in on day one.
