Sturdy Boot but Allow Time For Break-In
By Gyro from San Diego, CA on 5/31/2008
Sizing:
Feels true to size
Pros:
Durable, Good Looking, Stable
Cons:
Causes Hotspots or Blisters, Heavy, Too Stiff
Describe Yourself:
Comfort-oriented
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments: Nice, well-made boot. Leather is very thick and durable but this means that the boots are heavy and it takes some time for them to break in. I brought my old boots to work and was glad to be able to change half way through the day for the first week. Now that they've broken in, however, I like them very much. The thick soles add more weight, but they are resilient which makes these boots an excellent choice for working on a concrete shop floor. I would recommend applying a coat of mink oil to them right out of the box to help soften the leather and speed the break-in process.

Comments: I've worn Red Wing shoes for many years but have been searching for a less expensive alternative that was just as comfortable. These boots fill the bill. Don't know about the durability side yet as I've only had them for a week but they are very comfortable and can be had at a great price!

Comments: I still have to use these boots for a prolonged period of time to be able to commit on all the above. They might need some extra cushioning under the toes, will most probably use a gel inlay to improve them.
Two words: comfort and quality.

Comments: I ordered a EE wide boot but this is too wide a D is to small. the sizes of boots and shoes should be concistant but they are not. these shoes feel floppy on my feet and the others are way to tight. I like the style and color but not the fit. I may try others, in ther future.
