Comments: These are the first hiking shoe or boot I have bought in recent memory that did not give me blisters!!! Also I did not have to use an additional insole to take up space for my low volume feet. These are great for narrow narrow feet like mine. Most athletic shoes are meant for wide feet. Before these I have never had a pair of hiking boots fit comfortably out of the box. Also it is very nice to have Gore-tex for puddles and rain protection.

Comments: This boot required no break-in time-took them out of the box and went on a 3 hour snowshoe trek with 50cm of new powder and still coming down. My feet were warm, dry and comfortable-no blisters. Too soon to comment on durability.

Comments: These are high quality, well put together boots. They are comfortable like trail running shoes but have very stable and comfortable ankle support. They're going to be great for snowshoeing and winter hiking. Durability is TBD...I have several other Montrails, and I've had mixed results on durability. But Montrail stands by their products and their warranty service is great.
