It's very versatile and replaces several separate tools. You can cut mono with it, trim flies or indicators, mash barbs or use it as a hemostat.
Plus they really last -- The only reason I have ever had needed to replace mine is because I periodically lose them in the river. Something I do all too frequently. Fortunately, at this price, it's not quite as painful when I do that.

If you fish a lot you appreciate this quality. These are very sturdy, good for hook removal, pinching split shot and doing odds and ends snipping. A handy little tool for sure.
