Well made but not well designed By Reb the picky shopper from Richmond, VA on 01/01/2008 Cons: Difficult Access, Difficult To Find Things, Not user friendly, Poorly designed Best Uses: Everyday, Running Errands Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper, Practical, Stylish Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The side pocket is a pain because of the one-way zipper (2-way would be much better) and the clasp, because the clasp gets in the way of the zipper. There is only one interior compartment. The bag is well made and would be great if there were more interior compartments and the side pocket was easier to access and use. The straps should be a bit longer.
By Receiving Vessel Cindy from Omaha, Nebraska on 12/24/2007 Pros: Attractive, Easy Access, Easy to Clean, Enough Compartments, Good Organization, Good Strap Length, High Quality Best Uses: Business, Everyday, Traveling Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Practical, Stylish Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was very pleased with the outstanding quality of this bag. The zippers we a little stiff at first but those have gotten easier. The large compartment has been great for carrying files, books, and various other items collected throughout the day. I may not need to purchase another bag for a long time!
By Meghan from Herndon, VA on 12/12/2007 Pros: Attractive, Easy Access, Enough Compartments, Good Organization, Good Strap Length, High Quality Best Uses: Business, Everyday, Running Errands Describe Yourself: Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great tote. I really like the compartment on the side for access to cell phone or ID and credit cards. My laptop fits in the center part, but I have a small laptop. The underside of the straps are rubberized, which really helps to keep the bag in place on my shoulder. I begin an internship with a Big 4 accounting firm in January, plus night school, so this will be the perfect everyday bag to use.
Prettier than the classic, but . . . By Vicki from Washington, DC on 12/08/2007 Cons: Bulky, Difficult To Find Things, Heavy, Not Enough Pockets, Straps too short Best Uses: Business, Traveling Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Practical Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I've been carrying AmeriBag's classic Healthy Back Bag (size medium) for many years but wanted something more stylish. This is indeed -- it's very attractive -- but looks come at a price: It's not anywhere near as well organized as the original. Also, I can't see that it's going to be good for my back as it's heavy and there doesn't seem to be a way to lighten it up (the pockets don't distribute the weight the way the original's do). The straps also are too short for comfortable shoulder wear. Ah well.
