By Fashion Forward Graphic Designer from Dallas, TX on 04/12/2008 Pros: Adequate Capacity, Attractive Design, Lightweight Cons: Lack of Hardware, Poor Zipper Placement Best Uses: Daily Commuting, Laptop Bag, Staying Organized, Traveling Describe Yourself: Career, Casual, Classic Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought it to use for work, with the idea that I could also use it to carry my laptop. The construction is quality (though the leather has a worn look) and there are plenty of pockets and dividers for storage. The buckle and hardware have a stylish look and a matte finish.
The biggest problem is the zipper on the main compartment. It is stitched into the bag in a way that keeps the mouth of the bag from opening fully. This limits what you can put inside (i.e. my 14" widescreen laptop). Also the shoulder strap is attached to the bag with hardware on one side, and not on the other, where it is stiched instead. I'm not sure how I feel about this.
Otherwise it's a great bag. And with a lot of effort I can side squeeze my laptop inside. If I had a normal sized scrren it would be no problem at all.
By IB from Boston on 02/27/2008 Pros: Adequate Capacity, Attractive Design, Quality Construction Cons: Poor Internal Layout Best Uses: Daily Commuting Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A swell-looking bag. Only downside is, it's hard to access and file things into the main pocket(s) when you're actually wearing it.
By Lisa from Bluefield WV on 01/23/2008 Pros: Adequate Capacity, Attractive Design, Lightweight, Quality Construction, Secure Design, Well Organized Inside Cons: Strap could be wider Describe Yourself: Career, High-end shopper, Trendy Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased this for my son. The bag is really big, so notice the measurements, and the picture looked like the leather would be more weathered looking, but it was not. The brown is real deep chocolate, would really be ok if you had on black shoes/coat, even though black would be better. Strap could be a little wider. I feel the price was great, for the product. I did well, my son will graduate in 2010, he'll look sharp carrying his what we call "man purse" Ha! It'll keep him organized. [$]
By caba from nyc on 01/11/2008 Pros: Adequate Capacity, Attractive Design, Well Organized Inside Cons: poor color resistance Best Uses: Important Documents, Staying Organized Describe Yourself: High-end shopper Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: had for 2 days, something got on it and now there is an ugly spot on it. Do not recomment for traveling, commuting or use where are people, objects that bag might come in contact with....if you want it to continue to look good, keep it on a high shelf in the closet and gaurd it closely.
By ripley from Portland, OR on 01/02/2008 Pros: Adequate Capacity, Attractive Design, Quality Construction, Well Organized Inside Best Uses: Daily Commuting, Important Documents, Staying Organized, Traveling Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual, High-end shopper Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I don't usually write reviews of products that I purchase online but this bag was quite deserving of praise. It exceeded my expectations in quality of workmanship and materials. It contains more pockets and specialized compartments than I know what to do with. Pay attention to the measurements, this is a large bag. In all, more of everything than I expected.
Good, but wouldn't pay [$] for it By JB from Highland Park, NJ on 12/28/2007 Pros: Adequate Capacity, Quality Construction, Well Organized Inside Cons: Not Secure, Outside lock not strong Best Uses: Daily Commuting, Important Documents Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Overall it is very good bag, however items below reduce its durability:
The strap is not very wide and is can not be twisted 360 degree, since it is sewed in - possibility strap will not last for too long and can't be replaced.
The outside lock is weak magnet; therefore it does not stay close all the time.
