I,too,found the heel stiff and unforgiving. I had blisters on both heals. They are very snug. I have had other dunhams(sandals) and loved them but these are too narrow and very plain.

I was happy with the purchase for a few hours, but after that it became very uncomfortable because the back of the shoe was rubbing the back of my ankle and I knew if I continued to wear them I would end up getting a sore there. I am disappointed, and will be sending them back.

I was a little nervous to order them because I have never bought this brand, and I have ordered wides that were TOO wide before. [...] These fit perfectly. When I read on the box that Dunham is a New Balance brand, I knew I had found a new favorite casual shoe brand. They look great, feel great, and at this price they can't be beat. I'll be buying more Dunhams (because they won't let me go to work barefoot).
