How you like it depends on your use By Black Bunny Studios from Lake Elsinore, CA on 08/08/2008 Pros: Mesh back, Open design Describe Yourself: Beginner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Because camera accessories seem so expensive, I looked for an alternative in other departments. This unit seemed to have the open-mesh design and freedom of movement while carrying a variety of small pieces for my camcorder. When opening the pack and trying it on, it fit perfectly for me: but I am a very small woman--I even increased the length of the buckle straps to the longest position. So I can see that an average-build man would find it too small. I think that when I wear my close fitting "filming" clothes this will be a good aide to keep batteries and other gear near without producing sweat.

worked well for ducks and gobbler By dove lover from PA on 08/01/2008 Pros: Holds things high, Works Well Cons: Not soldier proof, Not waterproof Describe Yourself: Experienced Hunter Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend I used it for duck hunting to carry 12 shells, food, spare gloves/calls and head net. I wade mostly and it fit over my neoprenes and allowed me to carry gun, blocks, and accessories in one trip. I would remove it at the blind but did shoot a number of ducks while wearing it and it did not interfere with mounting too much.
It worked real well for spring gobbler - it folds down so you can lay your calls out. Though i I did not connect this year on a tom, it was no fault of the pack.
It is not floating or totally waterproof, and is somewhat flimsy (not soldier proof). This year I will Scotch Guard it and hopefully it will be more waterproof.
This looks like it will work well By Brad from Ontario Canada on 07/07/2008 Cons: May be too small for some Best Uses: Keep calls close Describe Yourself: Experienced Hunter Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Straps might be a little to short for "larger" hunters or to wear over bulky clothing
By bo444444 from Tampa, FL on 05/23/2008 Pros: Durable, Organized handy, Works Well Best Uses: Bird Hunting, Deer hunting, hog, Warm Climate Describe Yourself: Experienced Hunter Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend I too am 6' 185, 44 coat.
This fits perfect with room to spare.
The bottom of the pack is adjusted and sitting atop my belt buckle.
It is a chest pack not a fanny pack.
It does convert to a belt back if you need as well.
I could see if you were a larger person perhaps with a belly that it would ride high. Perhaps 200# 36" waist would be max user.
By Jersey Flash from Hawthorne, NJ on 12/11/2007 Cons: Difficult To Use, Flimsy Design, Not practical, Strap is confusing Describe Yourself: Experienced Hunter Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: After examining the chest pack and trying it on, I do not think that I will ever use it in the field for hunting or fishing.
Fieldline Camoflage Magnum Chest Pack By Ranch Boss from Rogersville, MO on 12/08/2007 Pros: Durable, Improves Performance, Large capacity, Safe Cons: Straps too short, Won't fit large person Best Uses: Big Game Hunting, Bird Hunting, Warm Climate Describe Yourself: Experienced Hunter Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The pack sits too high on the chest because the straps are so short. I'm 6' and 185 and this pack barely fits over a lightweight jacket. It won't work for me this winter because of the fit. Otherwise, it's a great product - large, roomy, lots of pockets inside. Opens wide with little straps to keep it from flopping all the way open. Zipper goes nearly all the way around. Camo material is good guality.
By Jim the Duck Slayer from Sacramento, CA on 09/11/2007 Describe Yourself: Experienced Hunter Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Good for use when wearing waders, keeps things dry.
