By Ponder from Bethesda, MD on 08/11/2008 Pros: Good for Walking, Simple to Use Best Uses: Everyday riding Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I find the Northwaves to be the most true to size cycling shoes for me. I normally wear a 12 regular shoe. In Sidi bike shoes I take a 47 but a Northwave 46 is perfect-plenty of toe room. The lacing system is great-simple and provides a great fit. Easy on and off. I wish all bike shoes used this system.
Excellent buy - Order 1 to 1 1/2 larger By RJ from Canton Georgia on 07/30/2008 Pros: Is perfect, Simple to Use, The Boa fastening system Best Uses: Everyday or Epic Rides, Everyday riding Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Sizing: Feels full size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Excellent for the price
Unique closure works well By Bill from Telluride on 07/29/2008 Pros: Durable Sole, Good Traction, Simple to Use, Well Ventilated Describe Yourself: Competitive Cyclist Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Purchased 1/2 size larger than my normal size due to availability. That turned out to be serendipitous as the shoes were a bit narrow at the toe. The extra room allowed me to add arch supports, the addition of which made for a great fit! The cable closure system is simple and fast to use - I just hope it hold up as long as the rest of the shoe. The shoes lack a typical cushioned tongue making for a clean fit that does not capture trail debris inside the shoe (that's good!).
By weekend warrior from Somewhere in Utah on 07/29/2008 Best Uses: Everyday riding Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: [...], I feel it was good bargain, if I had to purchase at regular price, I would not have chosen to buy these, the enclosures are a little dificult to get in and ouf of. other than that I think is a good MTB shoe
By Lew from El Paso, Texas on 07/20/2008 Pros: Good for Walking, Good Traction, Simple to Use, Well Ventilated Best Uses: Everyday riding, Long-distance riding Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Unable to give 5 stars due to the short time I have owned them. Rode Hermosa creek in Durango for there first ride. Trust me you have to walk some of this ride and no problem at all with the spikes in. The rain even more of a chalenge than normal. Terrific shoe - closure system is fine. This shoe sheed water as well as can be expected. Enjoy this shoe, it's stiff and light.
By Matrices from Houston, Texas on 03/31/2008 Pros: Durable Sole, Simple to Use Cons: Closure is "different". Best Uses: Everyday riding, Long-distance riding Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Normally, I log 90 to 100+ road miles per week in 3 to 4 rides. Initially, I am well satisfied with the shoe. My final evaluation will depend on the long term durability of closure system over the next year. I like the closure system; it's quick, easy, and adjusts easily. While the jury is still out on the durability issue, I'm expecting a good result.

By JP from Fort Collins, CO on 09/30/2007 Pros: Durable Sole, Well Ventilated Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I had these shoes for about a week before the one of the lacing tie downs pulled out, this happened to both shoes. One shoe popped out two before I returned them. They are nice shoes, super stiff, but the lacing system sucks big time.
