By Barbie's Bad Feet from Washington, DC on 07/30/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Cute, Durable, Stable Best Uses: Barbecues, Beach, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have always heard Chaco compared to Dansko but had never tried them before. Wow, these sandals are really comfy, and I think they have a more supportive sole. They do tend to be a bit wide, if your foot is narrow you would not like them at all. They seem extremely durable and well-made. After I received the first pair and wore them around for a few days, I ordered them in two additional colors. (yes, I have a shoe problem.)
excellent foot bed/comfort By comfy from chicago,il on 07/14/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Cute, Durable, Stable Best Uses: Barbecues, Beach, Travel Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These Chaco sandles from the Andale collection are the only brand I wear. I had a plantar fascitis years ago and these sandals helped me regain ability to walk without pain.I believe they've stopped making the Andale collection of leather sandals and I'm devastated,I'm looking all over for them in my size on the internet.
This is my second pair - I love them By Mary from Wisconsin on 06/27/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Cute, Durable, Stable Describe Yourself: Casual, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I feel like I could walk forever in these shoes.
By PhxDeb from Phoenix, AZ on 06/22/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Cute, Durable, Stable Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very comfy shoe with good arch support. These shoes have more cushioning than the flip flops I ordered (Intersect). It's a bit tricky to get the sizing right - seems to vary with the style. But I like these shoes. Wish Chaco would make more of these "dressier" type shoes instead of all "hiking/outdoor" type of shoes.
By csr from Texas on 06/19/2008 Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I read the review about these being wide and didn't really think it could be that bad, but WOW, these suckers ARE wide. The inside fits, but the overall shoe is very wide. I could have lived with that, but they were not comfortable. Unfortunately, the arch in the footbed really hurt my foot. I didn't think I could wear them long enough to see if they "broke in."
By Love 2 Run from Huron, OH on 06/17/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Cute, Stable Describe Yourself: Casual, Conservative Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are very comfortable but are a bit wide for my narrow foot. I haven't worn them too much yet but they seem to be very supportive and stable.
Chaco makes more than river sandals By Small town mountain girl from Carbondale, CO on 06/16/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Cute, Durable, Stable Best Uses: Barbecues, Travel, Work-on feet all day, Works with anything Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love the arch support that Chacos sandals have and have worn their river sandals for 20 years. Nice to see them branch out into something a little dressier that I can wear to work.
Where is the great arch support By SS from Maryland on 06/11/2008 Cons: Chafes, no arch support, Uncomfortable Best Uses: I returned these Describe Yourself: Casual, Conservative, Stylish, Trendy Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The great arch support that is normally found in Chaco's was missing in this style. These shoes are also very wide and not flattering. Be safe and stick with the traditional Chaco flip flop style.
Love them, they're great! By redsock from Boston Suburb on 05/22/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Cute, Durable, Stable Best Uses: Barbecues, Beach, Travel Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Am wearing these sandals right now. I have plantar faciitis and have to look carefully for shoes and sandals that are comfortable and offer good support. These Chacos fit the bill. Have chosen a red pair for the summer and am already finding lots of use with casual clothes.
My only [small] concern is that the top leather may stretch out too quickly. This has happened with other Chacos I've purchased, although in a different style. Keeping fingers crossed on that, otherwise I'd highly recommend these Friedas!
