Vents can be plugged when cold. My first helmet and its very comfy. I would have given it 5 stars, but my husband's helmet has a switch to open vents. Very cool.

The Gyro Nine is the most comfortable helmet I've found on the market. Love the removeable vent plugs. I wear mine with a thin skull cap and the fit is perfect with or without it. Highly recommend this helmet.

I have used this helmet for a year now and despite some minor scratches from low hanging branches this helmet is the best I've tried. Giro makes THE BEST helmets on the market (biking and skiing). I wouldn't trust my noodle with anything else.
