By Post Toasties from Chicago on 01/11/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Cushioned, Grippy rubber sole, Stable Describe Yourself: Alternative, Casual, Urban Trekker Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wear these at the office in place of stiff leather shoes that hurt my feet. They are always a treat to put on. I have a pair in both black and brown. The black looks rather dressy casual and is a great look with slightly flared pant leg (There is heel height of 1 1/2" or so.} The brown looks a bit more casual and I usually wear them with cords or jeans. The soles grip slippery surfaces well. Mephisto quality throughout. These are the best shoe purchases I have made in a while!
hope these get better with wear By mom from ny, ny on 01/01/2008 Pros: Durable, Need to be broken in, Stable Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Comments: Run a little small allover, but next size was too big. Very comfortable sole but upper is stiff.
Well made and comfortable By Bon Mot from Oakland, CA on 12/18/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Durable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual, Stylish Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend For a desert boot, these are just about the most attractive and comfortable I've seen. I'd been disappointed by recent Mephisto purchases, but the Bunty is as well crafted as the old original made-in-France styles circa 1996.
This style does run about a half-size small--I usually wear a 6.5 and am happy with the fit of the 7.
By cruzan gypsy from St. Croix, VI on 12/18/2007 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Comments: I've read raves for years about Mephisto shoes, so finally decided to splurge and try these. I loved the looks, I'm sure they would last well, and they felt OK, but the "aaaahhhh" factor just wasn't there. I couldn't bring myself to pay so much for shoes that might be just OK. I do a lot of walking when I travel and need to be sure the one pair of shoes I take are the right ones. My search for the perfect walking shoe continues.
