Great pack for the money
By troutbumVerified Reviewer from Portland, Or. on 08/14/2008
Pros:
Durable, Easy To Use, Functional
Best Uses:
Fresh Water, Salt Water
Describe Yourself:
Avid Fisher
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
Bought pack for surf casting in Oregon. Easy/quick to adjust height of pack on chest for different conditions. Front pack does NOT interfere with spey casting. Plenty of room for everything you need for a day on the coast. Has a few useless pockets, but with some scissors, velcro, and thread they could be made useful.

A nice product plenty of pockets and storage room and it is well built . You don't need to be fisherman to know a quality product . Though I have fished most of my 43 years .

Less Is Ample
By ocsquatchVerified Reviewer from Utah on 07/23/2008
Pros:
Balanced, Easy To Maintain, Easy To Use, Functional, Light
Best Uses:
Fresh Water
Describe Yourself:

Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
No one should downgrade this product because it won't hold a full vestload of stuff. This is a minimalist pack and a very good one in most respects. Factor in the price and it is outstanding. I had a WJ Creel that was obviously very well made. It also dragged on the shoulder and was always noticeable. This pack sits evenly and keeps everything readily accessible with effective zipper rings. It requires some tweaking to make it ride right for you, and I find that adding a neoprene water bottle holder with a full beer really helps the balance. I agree that it needs a backside lower d-ring for a net.

Great little Pack
By Doc from Mississippi on 06/10/2008
Pros:
Durable, Easy To Maintain, Easy To Use, Functional
Best Uses:
Fresh Water, Traveling
Describe Yourself:
Avid Fisher
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
This pack has plenty of room for a full day on the water. It beats my much more expensive vest and I don't need most of the junk I usually carry in a vest. I bring another bag with everything I might need and leave it in the truck to replentish the pack as needed.

Nice But it rides up
By Outdoor GuyVerified Reviewer from Jacksonville, FL on 04/17/2008
Pros:
Durable, Easy To Maintain, Easy To Use, Functional
Cons:
Rides up
Best Uses:
Fresh Water, Salt Water

Comments:
I really liked this chest pack and used it several times for saltwater fishing. It has plenty of space and is light. However, for me the front portion of the pack kept riding up and choking me. I spent the whole day pushing it down. It might just be a little small for me since I am a fairly large person. I wear XL and XXL so maybe if you are smaller this pack will work fine.

Chest Pac
By The Stream Pounder from Madison, WI on 04/08/2008
Pros:
Durable, Easy To Maintain, Functional
Cons:
Somewhat larger compartme
Best Uses:
Fresh Water
Describe Yourself:
Avid Fisher
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
Will be used primarily for stream fishing for trout with spinning tackle. A larger rear compartment for rain jacket and a water bottle would be better. The latter could also be done with a D ring attachment.

A bit on the small side for use on a day of fishing. More suitable for loading up a minimal amount of gear and a short trip. Good quality construction.
