Comments: I bought these boots for everyday work wear as I am a contractor/remodeler. While they do give excellent support they are way to stiff for everyday wear and I doubt that they will break in to my desired comfort level. The first day I wore them they chewed a pretty good sized raw spot next to my ankle but that can happen with a new pair of boots on the break-in. I did take them out hiking and they performed excellent. They are very sturdy and have great traction.

I have three pair of Asolo hikers...I use them daily and for hiking. I purchased these as a back-up as the price from Sierra was just so good!!!
I hike the Kaibab and Bright Angel trails at the Grand Canyon every year and have never even had a blister in these boots!!!
As for the laces they wear quickly...I just replace them with parachute cord which never fails.
Appears to be very well built boot.

Comments: This is the second pair purchased, this time for my son. These boots are designed in such a way so that those will larger feet can easily put the boots on without painful hyperpronation of the foot. The ease of entry does not compromise the support provided to the foot and ankle.
Not to crazy about these...
