Lots of comfort but not waterproof By V from Spearfish,SD on 06/11/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Non-slip sole Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I work outdoors in the national forest everyday and am always looking for the best shoe. The boots are so very comfortable from the moment you put them on. No pressure points; good traction and flexible enough to feel nimble on your feet. However, I would highly recommend not choosing this shoe if you like dry feet. Walking in light rain or wet grass will make your feet wet. I have to change socks once a day in the field so I am not uncomfortable. But on dry days... I love love love them. What do ya do.
By Lauren from Ohio on 05/27/2008 Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My favorite of the 3 pairs I tested. Wide toe box and good overall comfort and stability. My foot shifts very little when going up or down. I typically wear a 9 running shoe and 9.5 hiking boot. 9.5 fits but I would not want it any smaller. If you are between sizes order up.
One tough boot, at a great price! By Butterfly from Grand Junction, CO on 05/19/2008 Pros: Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We live in canyon country around here, and these boots can take what the canyons dish out! These boots feel very stable. My first hike in them was a 7 hour gruel, my feet were sore, but then again I was breaking them in, it was a gruelling 7 hour hike, and they held up fine.
tried in the house but returned By Annie 49er from Mt. Diablo on 04/25/2008 Pros: Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable, Water Resistant Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Felt a bit stiff and my toes hit the tip of the boot when walking downhill, so I didn't keep them. Nice color.
By elle-ben from San Diego on 04/22/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold weather, Day hikes, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I tried on a ton of boots in a store and was a little scared to order these without trying them on, but they turned out to be wonderful. Very sturdy and comfortable. Jumping around on rocks is fun with the special rubber on the sole.
