By Tealwhacker from SLC, Utah on 09/11/2008 Pros: Good looking well made Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Conservative Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great looking boot--hated to send them back but they're too narrow (I normally wear a size 8D). The boot has a good looking profile out of the box but when you put them on, the soles curl upward from the ball of the foot to the toe, thereby making them look a bit funky on your feet (like elf shoes?)and making them feel a little wierd to walk in. I wear cowboy boots about 60% of the time so I know what a western boot should feel like on your feet. Frye boots have a great rep but I've never owned a pair. I'd give them a try again in a different boot if I can find one I like.

I wear an 8 1/2 D shoe and the boot is a nice fit. The more you wear them the more comfortable they feel.
Just what I've been looking for! By BB from Colorado Springs, CO on 08/11/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am a woman with a wide foot, so they were perfect for me. A tiny bit long for my size, but that doesn't matter...Last time my boots were too long it saved my toes when my horse stepped on my foot!

Fit the bill and look great.
By Country girl from Portland, OR on 08/05/2008 Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am a woman, but bought this men's boot because I think womens western boots are too froofy. I wanted a nice plain boot and this was it. However I think the sizing might run a little big. I wear a womens 8 1/2 and I ordered a mens 7 but they were about a half size too big. Also, in the sole of the shoe, the toe box curves upward making walking a little odd. It kind of makes you walk like you've got a hitch in your get-a-long. Beautiful boot, though.

By Mom from Boston on 07/16/2008 Pros: Chic, Comfortable, Durable, High quality, Stable Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: While these are mens boots, I bought them for myself (female). They are stylish "cowboy" style boots without a lot of fanfare - like the old Acme rough out. Because they are Frye, they are high quality and well made. And thanks to STP, a fantastic deal.

By Frequent Buyer in Santa Fe from Santa Fe NM on 07/02/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Conservative, High-end shopper, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Beautifully finished mid-height boot, already "aged" a bit out of the box. These are good for boots-around-town and go well with jeans, dressed up or down. Frye has my eye now when it comes to western boots -- previously I'd only thought of them as those ring/strap square-toed engineer boots folks, and I was so wrong! Quite a name in western footwear, actually. They rock!
By Slimsin from Eagle Point, Oregon on 05/31/2008 Pros: Breathes Well, Durable, Stable, Stiff Leather, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Formal Events, Going Out, Travel, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Stylish, Trendy Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Really liked this boot, but in a size 9 the length of the foot was longer than the shaft. Which makes this boot look unbalanced. That said they were a generous size 9, probably more like a 9 1/2 or even 10, and narrow especially for a man's boot.
