The one on the main compartment doesn't stay closed, but that isn't such a big deal, since there is an inside zipper pocket. I like the back flap for quick stashing of papers and receipts. It seems well-thought-out, with places for cell-phone, cards, and so forth, and a key clip. Its also a good size--big enough to stuff a book in, but small enough to find things easily.

Looks great and durable so far. Holds a bottle of water and snacks. The only potential problem is the closure. The main compartment closes by a magnet which could be tempting for pickpockets. Will attach velcro for more secure closure.

I bought the grape/slate which isn't shown here but is a very nice muted mauve color-- not bright like the colors shown.
It definitely looks fine without a lot of stuff, but it comfortably holds all the regular items in the front pocket plus a small sweatshirt and a paperback in the main compartment with room for more. Perfect for keeping all of what you need at the ready when traveling.
My only complaint is that the front pocket is held closed only by a flap with two magnets. In a crowded place it would be easy for someone to slip their hand in and grab your wallet/mp3 player. There is a zippered pocket in the main compartment for storing anything you really can't afford to lose like a passport or wallet.

I love that it's made to wear like a messenger bag so it fits my body. It has lots of pockets to fill and it doesn't look bulky when it's full. Well crafted and comfortable to wear.

The only problem is the magnets on the flap, they are not very strong & I think Velcro would have been better, much more secure.

The contrasting lining is terrific, and the fabric is a tough nylon pack cloth that has a waterproof coating on the back side. I found the gussetted pocket underneath the front flap to be more "open" than I liked, so I tacked the pleats to take up some of that openness, and now it's great! Good everyday bag. For travel requiring passports or visas I'd want a more secure handbag.
