By bigdogmom from Detroit, MI on 08/05/2008 Pros: Compartmentalization, Good padding, Large capacity, Very adjustable Cons: Waist strap too small Best Uses: Day trip, Work commute Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love Timbuk2 products and have been porting my PowerBook in a tried and true combination of Timbuk2 case/messenger bag. Both have been in daily use for 4 years and still look almost new. But on the long walks that are part of my commute and daily worklife, that combination gets a little heavy and hard to carry. This pack is the perfect solution and it's Timbuk2, so I know it will last forever!

By A. from Providence, RI on 07/14/2008 Pros: Good padding, Large capacity, Very adjustable Cons: Not enough inside pockets Best Uses: Day trip, Work bag Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend I use this as my daily work bag, but also plan to use it when I travel.
Things I like: The bag is comfortable and the load distribution is good. The laptop protection between the laptop compartment and the interior of the bag is not particularly bulky, so there's plenty of room in the bag. Removable cord pouch neatly fits into an interior mesh pocket.
Things I don't like: Only has two interior pockets: one for an mp3 player, and one that is meant for cords. Organizing pockets are under an outside flap, making them too easily accessible by miscreants if you're on crowded public transport. Rubberized portion of the bottom does not cover the laptop compartment.

By ken from Northampton, MA on 07/02/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Good padding, Large capacity Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love this backpack. I bought it to replace my old Timbuk2 Detour which did not fit my new laptop. The laptop compartment in this bag is great with a side entry. The weight distribution is excellent and makes the contents feel lighter. There could be a few more pockets--maybe an exterior one for a water bottle. But I like the design with the accessories pockets on the side. A very different looking bag. Haven't seen anyone else with it yet.
Fantastic Alternative to Briefcase By Cognizanti from New England on 06/19/2008 Pros: Good padding, Large capacity Cons: Cellphone Pouch SB Biggr Best Uses: As Briefcase or SchoolBag Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Very well constructed, attractive and conservative enough to replace a traditional briefcase for a business person.
Those with larger cellphones/smartphones will find the pouch intended for cellphone too small.
Great size; readily accomodates 11" x 14" file folders.
