This was a great purchase! I had read the positive reviews prior to my purchase and the jacket lived up to the billing. One of the reviews said that if you are between sizes, keep in mind that this jacket runs a little large. It does - and the large fits me perfect! Very versatile. Highly recommend.

I was not sure when I ordered this jacket that I would like it. Some of the Ex Officio clothes are not that well made. This had good reviews and was at a good price, so I ordered it. When it came I was pleasantly surprised! The jacket is a good lightweight over jacket that will be good for spring. Not lined or overly warm for winter unless mild weather. Nicely made and fits well. Can be used for evening casual wear or going to dinner but not dressy. A keeper.

Comments:
This jacket was a bit of a suprise. I was shopping for a casual fleece, but this item is much more dressed up than I expected. It is like wearing a sportcoat, only in fleece. The shoulders are squared off, similar to the way a suit coat fits in the shoulders. I wore it tonite to a banquet where I would normally wear a casual sportcoat and received many compliments on it. The fabric is black, but it has little specks of white or silver (my little girl said it's sparkly) which reminds me of wool. It should hide the lint that black fleece attracts so easily. As for the fit, I'm about 6'-3 mostly in the torso and this jacket is plenty long. The sleeves are about right. It runs big, I ordered a large, but it fits like some brand's XL so if you are between sizes order the smaller size.

I would guess that we are gear junkies. We are not currently in any type of therapy though, possibly due to our inward denial. We appreciate great gear. We do not like to expend all of the effort that is involved with time and reseaching items only to use them and be disapponited. We have gear from many manufacturers. All of the biggies: Cloudvale, Arc'Teryx, Mountain Hardwear, JetBoil, Marmot, Lowe Alpine, Black Diamond etc. and are not necessarily loyal to any... but to great gear itself! This fleece is remarkable! I am 6'3" and this fleece is plenty long! That is a nice feature if you are tall so that your belly button is not constantly exposed(unless you have a surveilance camera mounted in it!)It is almost impossible to explain how GREAT looking this fleece is. It is a very dark kind of salt and pepper. It has a better pocketing sysytem than other fleece garments that we own. Zippered pockets within pockets (for example)to secure your phone or whatever. The hand pockets are big and warm. These pockets ride where they should for a tall guy. Not on the sides of your tummy but down where your arms naturally hang. This fleece is incredibly soft. Not cumbersome, even with the neck fully zipped up and it has a sleek slimming cut that gives you plenty of room. That might sound contradictory yet I have been an active body builder over the years and go 285lbs and this fleece is cut in the coolest way! I wear this thing almost every day and after all of this time am still amazed at how warm and comfortable this item is. This is being posted today because I have returned to the scene of the crime in an effort to maybe pick up another one! One note: This fleece is NOT wind-proof just so that you are aware. If you want that... go with the Under Armour Derecho Fleece... which is a pretty penny.

This is a really good coat. It would be nicer if it was reversible, and true to size. The sleeves were very long for a medium, but otherwise a great coat. I would love to buy another one in a different color. [$]
