I would highly recommend this product. By Big Daddy Wen from Plain City, OH on 08/04/2008 Pros: Bright, Durable, Long battery life, Stable Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use this a lot for backpacking, hunting and fishing. It uses AA batteries which last longer than AAA's. This is my second one. The first one lasted several years of torture. It went over 500 miles on canoe trips, several backpacking trips and countless hours of use.
Good lamp overall for stability By TKM from St.Paul, mn on 07/23/2008 Pros: Durable, Long battery life Cons: Bulky, No Beam Adjustment Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Over all I like the headlamp. The battery in
back balances it better (than battery in front types). The various options for lights does give
some fexibility for direction of light but not as
well as the movable light ones. Also it's a little harder to wear a cap with this light! I do like more batteries for longer life and the fact the battery case has a latch. I found the pop off kind break very easily pretty much making them useless since the battery connection becomes poor.
By Sheldon from Buffalo Grove on 07/17/2008 Pros: Bright, Long battery life, Stable Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great product for home and auto repair. Puts light where you need it and frees both hands.
By Slam from Boston on 07/01/2008 Pros: Adjustable Beam, Bright, Durable, Long battery life, Stable Best Uses: Working in tight spaces Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I used it to work on my motorcycle and my car and it was alot better than asking my girl to hold a flash light.
By nickj from san francisco on 06/27/2008 Pros: Bright, Durable, Long battery life, Stable Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Great light for the price, I would recommend this to anyone. Very comfortable, versatile and adjustable.
The halogen light is very useful, and the unit is only slightly heavy b/c the three batteries, I found
it managable still even for long distance hikes.
By Mountain Hiker from Rio Rico, AZ on 06/25/2008 Pros: Bright, Durable, Easy to attach, Long battery life, Really bright on one LED, Stable Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping, Hiking, Search Rescue caving Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: SAR group. Recent night training proved its worth, even against other, larger lights. One LED is all it takes for clear, bright light. Distance night vision is excellent. Illuminates a large area well.
By Denny from Pasadena, CA on 06/22/2008 Best Uses: Working around the house Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have needed this type of item for a long time.

By Steven from Lincoln, MA on 06/02/2008 Pros: Adjustable Beam, Bright, Durable, Long battery life, Stable Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Well constructed head lamp. Comfortable to wear. The single diode setting alone is quite bright and sheds sufficient light for most uses. The xenon bulb has good range and its a nice feature to have available when you need to see over a larger distance. You can't go wrong with this light, especially for the price.

It met both needs very well.
